Job summary

FiberHome in the Philippines seeks an Extraction Operations Supervisor to lead four extraction teams (32 personnel) and backup crew on site. You will implement WMS, assign daily targets, and maintain safety and quality across all work zones.

Coordination with transport and the SAQ/ROW teams is essential to prevent delays and ensure compliance. You will track progress, deploy resources to recover time, and sign daily progress reports while maintaining site records and permits.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership & Execution
  • Supervise all 4 extraction teams (32 personnel total) + backup crew.
  • Implement approved Work Method Statements (WMS), site layout, and workflow designed by the Telecom/Technical Designer
  • Assign daily targets: minimum 5 tons per day; ensure steady output of 4tons/day
  • Control all work zones: storage, sorting, processing, weighing, loading areas; ensure smooth material flow
  • Coordinate directly with outsourced transport team to eliminate waiting time; supervise loading and handover
  • Ensure all work stays within agreed scope.
2. Schedule & Timeline Control
  • Track progress hourly and daily; compare actual vs. target
  • If behind schedule (~5% gap), immediately activate backup team/equipment and report to Project Control
  • Guarantee zero delays from our side; deploy extra resources at company cost if needed to recover time
  • Ensure project is completed on or before target date.
3. Manpower & Equipment Management
  • Manage attendance, shift rotation, and performance of all personnel.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings: safety reminders, work instructions, and target setting
  • Ensure all staff wear correct PPE and follow safety rules at all times.
  • Monitor all equipment before and during use; report faults immediately
  • Coordinate maintenance and backup equipment deployment to avoid downtime
  • Maintain manpower and equipment logs daily
4. Safety, Quality & Quantity Control (SAQ Compliance)
  • Enforce all safety policies from SAQ/ROW team; ensure zero accidents, injuries, or hazards
  • Oversee quality checks: sorting by copper grade, no contamination, no damage to cables
  • Manage weighing process: double weighing (receiving + before loading), use only DTI-calibrated scales
  • Ensure weight tolerance: ±0.2% maximum; any loss beyond this is fully accounted for and compensated
  • Sign off on quality and quantity records; confirm all materials are accounted for and correctly documented
  • Stop work immediately if unsafe or non-compliant; report to SAQ team
5. Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and sign Daily Progress Report (DPR): volume processed, manpower, equipment, issues, photos
  • Maintain all site records: weighing slips, loading manifests, safety logs, attendance sheets
  • Ensure all documents are complete, signed, and submitted daily to Project Control
  • Coordinate with ROW/Permitting team to ensure all permits are valid and displayed on site
  • Prepare handover documents and sign-off for completed batches
6. Coordination & Communication
  • Single point of contact on-site for client representatives, transport providers, and government inspectors
  • Report immediately to Project Control: delays, incidents, regulatory visits, or any critical issue
  • Coordinate with Designer, SAQ, Logistics, and Factory teams to resolve site problems
  • Ensure clear communication between shifts and teams using two-way radios
  • Attend daily coordination meetings and submit end-of-shift updates
