Job summary

Malayan Insurance Co., Inc. (MICO) in Manila City, Metro Manila is seeking a Project Programmer on a full‑time basis. You will design, develop and maintain software solutions that support insurance operations, working with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality applications and systems.

You will collaborate with project managers and analysts, write clean code, and contribute to testing, documentation and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Visual Basic or similar.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Experience with database management systems and SQL is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in web technologies, APIs and integration systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software applications and systems that support insurance business processes.
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance and security of developed software.
• Test applications thoroughly to identify and resolve bugs, errors and performance issues.
• Maintain and update existing systems to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
• Provide technical documentation and support to end-users and other team members.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement timely resolutions.
