• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive QA/QC inspections of mechanical systems, components, and equipment across project phases.
• Develop and implement QC procedures and checklists for mechanical installations and operations.
• Perform testing, verification, and validation of mechanical systems for design and regulatory compliance.
• Document all QA/QC activities, findings, and corrective actions in reports.
• Identify deficiencies, non-conformances, and areas for improvement with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Monitor adherence to project specs, codes, and safety regulations.
• Maintain records of inspections, test results, and quality metrics for audits.
• Conduct root cause analyses for quality failures and deviations.
• Provide regular quality status updates to management and stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct comprehensive quality assurance inspections of mechanical systems, components, and equipment throughout all project phases

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and checklists specific to mechanical installations and operations

• Perform testing, verification, and validation of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards

• Document all QA/QC activities, findings, and corrective actions in detailed reports

• Identify deficiencies, non-conformances, and areas for improvement, and recommend corrective and preventative measures

• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure timely rectification

• Monitor adherence to project specifications, industry codes, and safety regulations

• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality metrics for audit and compliance purposes

• Conduct root cause analyses for any quality failures or deviations from standards

• Liaise with project management and stakeholders to provide regular quality status updates and reports

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends and recommending process enhancements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a QA/QC professional in water and waste engineering, or related mechanical engineering projects

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and installation procedures relevant to water treatment and waste management facilities

• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations including ISO standards and relevant Philippine engineering codes

• Excellent inspection and testing skills with proficiency in using quality control tools and instruments

• Solid understanding of design specifications and the ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly and concisely

• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining rigorous quality standards

• Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to recommend practical solutions to quality issues

• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent professional certification

• Preferred experience with water treatment systems, waste management processes, or similar industrial mechanical applications

• Proficiency in quality management software and data recording systems
