Job summary

Suntrust Properties, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to monitor mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection works for condominium construction and turnover to Condo Corp.

You will ensure contractor activities comply with approved plans, conduct material testing, and prepare weekly evaluations for the Project Manager to guide project progress and quality.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• Licensed engineer preferred with at least 3 years of experience.
• Computer literate (MS Applications/Office) required.
• Experience in building/construction projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection works for condominium construction.
• Guide contractors using approved drawings and specifications.
• Inspect contractor activities and verify materials usage.
• Conduct material testing at all work stages.
• Evaluate contractor progress weekly and report to Project Manager.
• Prepare punch-list for completed units to ensure readiness for turnover.

Job description

Job Specification:

• Responsible for monitoring the mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection works construction of condominium including its amenities until turnover of units to Condo Corp.


• Helps/orients the contactors in the interpretation of the construction drawings and specifications


• Inspects the construction activities of the contractors and admin workers to ensure that the works are executed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and that the materials used (by admin workers) are properly utilized


• Inspects and conducts material testing on every stages of works


• Evaluates and assesses the accomplishment of contractors on a weekly basis and submits the findings to the Project Manager


• Conducts punch-list of all completed works on units to ensure that said units are ready and acceptable to the unit owners

Education and Experience:

• College graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering


• Computer literate (MS applications)


• Preferably licensed with at least three years work experience
