About the role

The Project Manager owns the end-to-end delivery of one or more projects — planning, execution, tracking, and closure — ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met. This role is the day-to-day operational owner of delivery: coordinating assigned resources, managing client and stakeholder communication, and proactively identifying and resolving risks and issues before they escape. The Project Manager works under the strategic direction of the Project Director, partners with the Solution Architecture team on feasibility and effort, and — as projects increasingly include AI/LLM-powered components — maintains working knowledge of AI/LLM concepts to plan, track, and communicate on AI-enabled delivery with confidence.

Key responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, and budgets
• Define delivery approach (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) appropriate to project scope and client needs
• Manage scope changes through a formal change-control process, assessing impact on timeline, cost, and resources
• Track project progress against plan and proactively adjust to keep delivery on schedule and within budget

Stakeholder & Client Communication

• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients on assigned projects
• Run regular status meetings, steering updates, and progress reporting for clients and internal stakeholders
• Manage stakeholder expectations proactively, communicating trade-offs and decisions clearly

Team Coordination & Day-to-Day Delivery Management

• Coordinate the daily work of assigned project resources — developers, QA, designers, architects — ensuring clarity on priorities and deliverables
• Run sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) or equivalent project rhythms
• Remove day-to-day blockers for the team and elevate resourcing or capability gaps to the Project Director promptly

Risk & Issue Management

• Maintain a live risk and issue register for each assigned project; identify risks early and drive mitigation
• Resolve issues within the team where possible; elevate major issues or risks to the Project Director on time
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action follow-through for delivery issues

Budget & Financial Tracking

• Track project costs, effort burn, and utilization against approved budget
• Support invoicing milestones and billing accuracy in coordination with finance and the Project Director
• Flag budget or margin risk early and propose corrective options

Solutioning Collaboration

• Work closely with the Solution Architecture team to validate that agreed solutions translate into realistic project plans and estimates
• Provide delivery-side input on feasibility, sequencing, and dependency management during solution design, including for AI/LLM-enabled components
• Flag scope or design changes that materially affect timeline, cost, or resourcing

Quality & Delivery Standards

• Ensure the project team follows agreed SDLC, testing, and delivery quality standards
• Own delivery documentation, signoffs, and handover artifacts at project milestones and closure

AI-Enabled Project Delivery

• Maintain baseline literacy in AI/LLM concepts — LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, MCP, agentic AI — sufficient to plan, scope, and track AI-enabled project workstreams
• Use AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to improve status reporting, meeting summarization, risk analysis, and documentation efficiency
• Coordinate with Solution Architects to translate AI/LLM solution components into clear tasks, test criteria, and acceptance criteria for the delivery team
• Apply awareness of responsible AI considerations (data privacy, evaluation, guardrails) when planning testing and UAT for AI-enabled features

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 5+ years of project management experience delivering IT/software projects, ideally in a technology consultancy or delivery environment
• Demonstrated experience managing Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall delivery, including cross-functional teams (development, QA, design, architecture)
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships end-to-end
• Exposure to projects with cloud or AI/LLM components is an advantage
• Technical & Management Knowledge: Basic working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/LLM concepts (RAG, agentic AI, LLMs) to plan tech workstreams. Strong command of project management methodologies, tracking tools (Jira, Confluence), financial tracking, resource allocation, and ITIL support escalation practices.
• Soft Skills: Clear communication, stakeholder management, strong organization, practical problem-solving, negotiation skills, and adaptability to evolving scopes.
