Job summary

Lai Yew Seng Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager to lead steel fabrication and construction projects from award to handover in Singapore.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors, review drawings, plan fabrication and installation, and supervise on-site teams. The right candidate has 2–3 years PM experience in construction, familiar with WSH and BCA, and strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Management or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of project management experience in construction; steel fabrication or metal works is a plus.
• Able to read and interpret engineering and shop drawings.
• Familiar with Singapore WSH and BCA requirements.
• Good communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, and site teams.
• Organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Competent in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or project scheduling software is an advantage.
• Valid Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

About the role

Lai Yew Seng Pte. Ltd. is an established Singapore company in steel fabrication and construction. We design, fabricate, and install bollards, railings, gates, and other steel products for projects across Singapore. We are looking for a Project Manager to lead our projects from award to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage projects from award to handover. Scope, schedule, budget, and quality

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors

• Review drawings and specifications, and coordinate shop drawings and submissions for approval

• Plan fabrication and installation schedules with the workshop and site teams

• Supervise site supervisors and installation teams, and monitor progress on site

• Make sure work complies with WSH requirements and BCA standards

• Manage project costs, variations, and progress claims

• Attend site coordination meetings and prepare progress reports for management

• Support tendering. Quantity take-off, costing, and preparing quotations

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; Diploma holders with relevant experience are welcome to apply

• At least 2–3 years of project management experience in construction; steel fabrication or metal works experience is a strong plus
