Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Project Manager to lead and deliver enterprise‑level projects for core banking applications such as GL, Collections, CIF and AMLA across the SDLC.

You will manage cross‑functional teams, define scope and timelines, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with vendors to deliver on budget and schedule. The ideal candidate has a minimum of eight years in IT project management, including three years with banking systems, and a proven track record

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, engineering, business administration or related field.
• 8+ years in IT project management, including at least 3 years with enterprise banking systems.
• Proven track record implementing core banking apps (GL, Collections, CIF, AMLA).

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of core banking system projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams of analysts, developers, testers, and vendors.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk logs, and status reports.
• Ensure governance and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors for solution delivery and integration.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and stakeholder updates.
• Manage change requests, issues, and escalation processes.
• Ensure QA and UAT are completed successfully.
• Support post-implementation reviews and transition to operations.
• Deliver projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory requirements affecting banking operations.

Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering enterprise-level projects related to core banking applications, including General Ledger, Collections, Customer Information File (CIF), Anti-Money Laundering (AMLA) systems, etc.. The role requires end-to-end project management across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and technology standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of core banking system projects.
• Manage cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, testers, and external vendors.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk logs, and status reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with vendors for solution delivery and integration.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and stakeholder updates.
• Manage change requests, issue resolution, and escalation processes.
• Ensure quality assurance and user acceptance testing are completed successfully.
• Support post-implementation reviews and transition to operations.
• Deliver projects within scope, budget, and schedule
• Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements impacting banking operations.
• Other function that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years handling enterprise-level banking systems.
• Proven track record in implementing core banking applications such as GL, Collections, CIF, AMLA, etc.
