Job Description
The Project Lead (PL) oversees the end-to-end execution of in-store and event-based merchandising and marketing initiatives within a designated field territory. This role is responsible for translating program goals into actionable on-the-ground implementation, ensuring campaigns are executed flawlessly, on time, within budget, and aligned with brand objectives.
The Project Lead also manages Team Leads and ensures adequate manpower is available to support the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (4-year course preferred)
- 3–5 years’ experience in field marketing, merchandising, promotions, or operations management
- Proven experience in project management, including scheduling, cost, resources, and risk management
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Tough-mindedness in managing field personnel and retail environments
- Proficient in MS Excel and reporting dashboards
- Basic budgeting and liquidation knowledge
- Experience in POSM handling, inventory management, and trade retail operations
- Ability to manage complex details of creative or project execution
- Awareness of market trends and external factors influencing clients
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute merchandising, promotions, and events on time and within budget
- Lead and coordinate Team Leads and field personnel to ensure manpower coverage
- Maintain quality control and ensure brand standards are met
- Monitor project progress, analyze trends, and provide actionable reports
- Manage project budgets, resources, and risk mitigation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client stakeholders
