Job summary

E.C. Calderon Construction Development, Inc. (ECCDI) is seeking an Accounting Officer to manage daily accounting operations and monitor project-related expenses in Cebu City.

The role includes handling payables/receivables, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with HR for payroll processes. The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting, at least three years of accounting experience, and familiarity with BIR regulations. CPA is a plus, and construction experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Accounting.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA license is an advantage.
• Experience in construction, engineering, contracting, or project-based businesses is preferred.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, project costing, billing, collections, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Philippine BIR regulations, taxation, and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier invoices, process payments, track outstanding payables; follow up on customer collections and overdue accounts.
• Track project expenses, material, labor, equipment, subcontractor payments, and other project expenditures.
• Prepare financial statements, cash flow reports, expense summaries, reconciliations, and other management reports.
• Prepare and monitor client billings, progress billings, collection schedules, and supporting documents with Operations and Project Management teams.
• Coordinate with HR on payroll records, reimbursements, cash advances, liquidations, and other employee-related transactions.
• Assist in preparing tax returns, withholding tax documentation, and BIR-related reports with management or external accountants.
• Monitor cash flow, petty cash, bank transactions, deposits, and reconciliations.
• Verify purchase orders, delivery receipts, invoices, and other supporting documents before processing payments.
• Maintain organized accounting files, vouchers, receipts, contracts, billing statements, and other financial documents for audit and reference.
• Assist in preparing budgets, monitoring actual expenses against approved budgets, and identifying discrepancies.
