Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to support large-scale U.S. construction projects, focusing on multi-family podium and multi-level developments. You will prepare accurate cost estimates, perform quantity take-offs, review bids, and assist value engineering with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 4–5 years of experience as a Project Estimator with a general contractor.
• Minimum of 3 years experience on U.S.-based construction projects.
• Experience estimating multi-family, podium or multi-level projects with 150+ residential units.
• Budgets of USD 50M or higher.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. codes and construction standards.
• Ability to estimate across multiple CSI divisions; proficient Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of construction practices, safety, codes, and systems.
• Review drawings and specs to define project scope and requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs across CSI divisions for multi-family podium/multi-level projects.
• Prepare and maintain estimates, budgets, assumptions, and clarifications.
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids during bidding.
• Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and pricing variances; propose resolutions.
• Validate budgets with subs, vendors, and stakeholders using historical data.
• Support value engineering with trade partners and design teams.
• Participate in design team and internal coordination meetings.
• Provide ad hoc support including coordination tasks, invoice consolidation, and change orders.
