Job summary

Archipelago Builders Corporation seeks a Project Engineer - MEPFS to oversee design review, planning, coordination, documentation, and site inspections for MEPF trades on our Cavite project site. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills and a BS in Electrical Engineering.

The successful candidate will manage shop drawing reviews, coordinate with trade contractors, monitor schedules, and ensure quality control from installation through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS in Electrical Engineering; professional license is a plus.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Reviews consolidated MEPF shop drawings before submittal to the designer.
• Reviews structural drawings before submittal to determine conflicts with MEPF installations.
• Reviews architectural drawings before submittal to determine conflicts with MEPF installations.
• Leads plan review with MEPF Trade Contractors and Management to expedite approvals and prevent delays.
• MEPF Trade Contractors' activities should be monitored and updated to our team daily.
• Coordinate completed structural/architectural works for MEPF Trade Contractors to proceed with installations.
• Coordinates completed MEPF works to commence structural and architectural activity.
• Coordinate the completion schedule to prevent future delays by all MEPF Trade Contractors.
• Attends weekly meetings with Owners, Management, and Contractors to discuss all concerns with MEPF Contractors.
• Communicates progress and prepares reports as needed and requested.
• Makes sure all agreements and reports are documented.
• Documents all reworks and charges.
• Computes MEPF Trade Contractors' utility bills.
• Oversees MEPF service installation under Civil Contractor scope of works and closes inspections.
• Carries out site walks and inspections for service installation and advises the Construction team and Management.
• Takes overall responsibility for performance and quality control of all MEPF trades (Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Alarm, Site Utilities and Fire Protection).
• Troubleshoots and assists in resolving field installation issues.

The Project Engineer - MEPFS is overall in charge of the tasks below:

DESIGN AND PLAN REVIEW CONCERNS

• Reviews consolidated MEPF shop drawings before submittal to the designer.

• Reviews structural drawings before submittal to determine conflicts with MEPF installations.

• Reviews architectural drawings before submittal to determine conflicts with MEPF installations.

• Leads plan review with MEPF Trade Contractors and Management to expedite the approval of drawings and to prevent delays in structural and architectural works.

COORDINATION

• MEPF Trade Contractors' activities should be monitored and updated to our team daily.

• Coordinate completed structural/architectural works for MEPF Trade Contractors to proceed with installations.

• Coordinates completed MEPF works in order to commence structural and architectural activity.

• The structural and architectural completion schedule should be coordinated and adhered to by all MEPF Trade Contractors to prevent future delays.

• Attends weekly meetings with Owners, Management, and Contractors to discuss all concerns with MEPF Contractors.

DOCUMENTATION

• Communicates progress and prepares appropriate reports as needed and requested.

• Makes sure all agreements and reports are documented.

• Documents all reworks and charges.

• Computes MEPF Trade Contractors' utility bills.

SITE AND QUALITY INSPECTION

• Oversees MEPF service installation under Civil Contractor scope of works. Closes inspections for MEPF Contractor installation works.

• Carries out site walks and inspections for service installation, identifying poor quality elements and advising the Construction team and Management.

• Takes overall responsibility for the performance and quality control of all MEPF trades. This includes, but is not limited to, the following scope of work: Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Alarm, Site Utilities and Fire Protection.

• Troubleshoots and assists in the resolution of field installation issues. Slope-to-drain testing and leak mapping of washing area and t&b. Inspects all completed MEPF installations and restorations

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2-3 yearsof relevant working experience is required for this position;

• Candidate must be a Graduate of BS in Electrical Engineering; professional license is a plus;

• With strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, as well as an eye for detail;

• Results-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills;

• Willing to be assigned/relocate within General Trias, Cavite;

• Amenable to commute/relocate, living near or within Cavite;
