Job summary

Megawide Construction Corporation is seeking an experienced Licensed Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to lead MEPF coordination on design-build projects in the Philippines. The role emphasizes hands-on review of drawings, QA/QC, and ensuring alignment with contract deliverables and construction drawings.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in construction, strong communication, organization, and people management skills, and a proven ability to supervise multiple trades and deliverables

Qualifications

• Must have licensure as Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction industry.
• Excellent oral and written communication; highly organized and assertive.
• Analytical, decisive with attention to detail and strong people/project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Meets with clients and peer reviewer to discuss MEPF execution during design phase.
• Reviews drawings to generate RFIs/RFAs for changes when needed.
• Supervises preparation for BOQ and quantity take-off.
• Supervises all MEPF activities and ensures timely delivery of outputs.
• Maintains site utilities and coordinates with consultants and designers.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre-Construction Preparations

• Meets with clients and peer reviewer to suggest and provide comments, on how to execute MEPF works during the design phase for design & build project.

• Reviews for construction drawings to generate RFI and RFA to make changes if needed.

• Creates proposals and recommendation to ensure quality and efficiency of designs/plan.

• Reviews and be familiarized with contract scope deliverables for the project and verifies if these are aligned with the for-construction drawings.

• Supervises preparation for BOQ and quantity take-off.

• Prepares drawings and documents that were necessary for utility application for tempfacil and for construction.

Preparation of Subcon Billings for MEPF works

• Reviews and evaluates sub-con billings and claims for MEPF works.

• Checks and reconciles change orders on MEPF activities with clients.

• Submits project accomplishment report of MEPF to planning engineer for client billing.

Execution and Monitoring of Activities

• Supervises all activities for all trades of MEPF accomplishment and ensures timely delivery of output.

• Provides catch‑up schedule and strategies when needed.

• Checks and evaluates material and site request forms.

• Supervises and responds to all technical difficulties that may arise during project execution, in coordination with consultants and designers.

• Monitors productivity and schedule of admin / subcon manpower.

• Maintains project site continuous power and water supply to avoid hampering of operations.
  

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer

• Minimum of 5 years working experience in Construction Industry

• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; highly organized and assertive

• Analytical, decisive, keen on details and possesses excellent people/project management skills
