Job summary

ALLIED SEARCH PTE. LTD. is seeking a Project Engineer (Medical Devices) to drive supplier collaboration from design to mass production, ensuring timelines and target costs are met.

The role focuses on cost, quality, and supply availability across the product lifecycle, leading negotiations and supplier qualification while mitigating obsolescence and supply risks.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage Last Time Buy activities, and develop supplier capabilities to sustain supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience with NPI and mass production timelines.
• Experience in cost, quality, and supply availability management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers through NPI to meet timelines and target COGS.
• Improve cost, quality, and supply availability across the product lifecycle.
• Lead cost management and supplier negotiations including cost-driver analysis.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality on supplier qualification and sustainability.
• Manage Last Time Buy activities to minimize obsolescence and risk.
• Develop supplier capability, capacity and continuity; mitigate supply risks.
• Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

As a Project Engineer (Medical Devices), you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Manage cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers throughout NPI, from design to mass production, ensuring timelines and target cost of sales are met.

• Drive cost, quality, and supply availability throughout the product lifecycle.

• Lead cost management and supplier negotiations, including cost-driver analysis, design decisions, and commercial terms.

• Partner with Supplier Quality on new supplier/component qualification, compliance, and sustainability requirements.

• Manage Last Time Buy activities to minimize obsolescence and supply risks.

• Develop supplier capability, capacity, and continuity, while identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.

• Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
