Knowles Electronics (Philippines) Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support new product development by designing, evaluating, and improving micro electro-mechanical components.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative product solutions, perform calculations and simulations, and ensure designs meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
A minimum of 5 years' experience and strong knowledge of CREO and GD&T will help you succeed.
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support new product development by designing, evaluating, and improving micro electro-mechanical components. This role contributes to innovative engineering solutions and ensures high-quality product designs that meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
Plan and execute engineering design, research, and development activities across the product life cycle
Develop and improve product designs, including design changes and enhancements
Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and complex testing
Support new product development through proper documentation and adherence to engineering processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative product solutions and technology roadmaps
Interface with customers on product design, technical discussions, and problem-solving
Gather, analyze, and interpret engineering data to support decision-making
Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables and project milestones
Recommend improvements in design, processes, and equipment to meet technical requirements
Lead component selection, standardization, supplier evaluation, and qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, or equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development
Experience with miniature components, materials, and manufacturing methods (plastic, metal, rubber)
Background in product lifecycle management and engineering design processes
Proficient in 3D modeling and 2D drafting (CREO and Windchill is an advantage)
Knowledge in GD&T and ASME standards
Experience in stack-up analysis and tolerance analysis
Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (structural and modal is an advantage)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, stamping, and plating
Understanding of assembly processes (adhesives, soldering, ultrasonic and laser welding)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision
