Job summary

NEWBIG FOUR J CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our Metro Manila team on a full-time basis. You will bridge project management, site operations, and technical teams to ensure engineering requirements align with schedules and budgets.

The role requires a PE license, 3–5 years in construction, and strong CAD and project management skills. You will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in construction.
• PE license is a MUST and knowledge of Philippine codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review project technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specs.
• Liaise between project management, contractors, and technical teams to resolve design and construction issues.
• Prepare technical reports, daily site reports, and progress documentation for stakeholders.
• Assist in developing project schedules and ensure timelines are met.
• Support cost estimation and budget tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct QA checks to ensure materials, workmanship, and methods meet standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors on technical matters.

NEWBIG FOUR J CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Engineer to join our team in Metro Manila on a full-time basis. This role is central to the successful planning, coordination, and execution of our construction projects. As a Project Engineer, you will serve as a key bridge between project management, site operations, and technical teams, ensuring that all engineering requirements are met whilst maintaining project schedules and budgets. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on major construction initiatives and contribute to the growth of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing project technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction plans
• Conducting site inspections and surveys to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Liaising between the project management team, contractors, and technical specialists to resolve design and construction issues
• Preparing technical reports, daily site reports, and progress documentation for project stakeholders
• Assisting in the development of project schedules and ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones
• Supporting cost estimation and budget tracking activities throughout the project lifecycle
• Conducting quality assurance checks to ensure materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet agreed standards
• Coordinating with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors on technical matters and deliverables
• Documenting site conditions, variations, and changes in accordance with project procedures
• Supporting the identification and mitigation of project risks and technical challenges

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 3-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations in the Philippines
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and project management tools
• Excellent technical drawing interpretation and ability to understand architectural and structural plans
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced construction environment
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy in all deliverables
• Problem-solving capability with the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a MUST.
