The Office / Site Engineer provides technical and administrative support to project teams to ensure work complies with engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions; troubleshoots engineering-related problems. Documents project issues/conditions and maintains organized and detailed project records.
Responsibilities
- Assist in project planning and scheduling to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Oversee construction activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved plans and specifications
- Monitor and inspect construction progress to identify and address any discrepancies
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of construction activities
- Monitor project costs and expenses, track expenditures, and ensure adherence to the budget
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest alternatives to reduce expenses without compromising quality
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and supplies
- Manage inventory and ensure that adequate resources are available for project execution
- Identify and resolve technical and logistical issues that may arise during construction
- Provide regular updates and progress reports on project status, milestones, and issues
Qualifications
- Graduate of Civil Engineering
- At least 1 year of work experience in the same capacity and/or in the same industry
- Strong understanding of project management and construction; ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational skills; high sense of confidentiality and integrity; attention to detail; resourceful, creative, and analytical
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
