Job summary

Steelwell Industrial Hardware (Phils.) Corporation seeks a Project Engineer to lead technical aspects of new product development, process improvements, tooling design, and equipment installation for customer-specific orders.

Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement (Lean, 6S, Kaizen). Experience with ISO/IATF and PEZA requirements is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; licensed engineer is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or project engineering.
• Experience with precision metal parts, machining, or automotive components.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM, engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with quality tools: FMEA, control plans, PPAP.
• Strong technical problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in PEZA-registered or export-oriented factories is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of projects: new product development, process improvements, tooling/jig design, equipment installation, and customer-specific orders.


• Prepare project APQPs and PPAPs.


• Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution and troubleshooting of issues.


• Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement (Lean, 6S, Kaizen).


• Monitor project timelines, costs, and quality metrics; prepare progress reports for management.


• Support validation testing, trial runs, and handover to operations.


• Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards (ISO/IATF), and PEZA requirements.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related); Licensed Engineer is plus.


• With at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing/ project engineering, preferably in precision metal parts, machining, or automotive components.


• Knowledge in CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.


• Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP)


• With strong technical problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
