Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Plant Project Engineer for our Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna facility. This full-time role focuses on planning, executing, and overseeing plant improvement projects and capital investments to boost operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/chemical/industrial engineering background, 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations, and strong skills in project management, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • 3-5 years in plant operations or project engineering.
  • Experience managing manufacturing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpreting performance metrics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is preferred.
  • PE or PMP certification desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute plant improvement and capital projects from conception through completion.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed engineering projects.
  • Develop project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and procurement to ensure seamless project implementation.
  • Monitor project progress against established milestones and budgets, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors and external contractors to source materials and specialised services.
  • Analyse operational data and plant performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.

About the role

We are seeking a Plant Project Engineer to join our manufacturing operations team at our facility in Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in planning, executing, and overseeing plant improvement projects and capital investments. As Plant Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering projects that enhance operational efficiency, maintain safety standards, and support the strategic objectives of our manufacturing facility. This role bridges engineering expertise with project management, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and execute plant improvement and capital projects from conception through completion

  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed engineering projects

What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline

  • 3-5 years of experience in plant operations, project engineering, or manufacturing environments

  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects within manufacturing or industrial settings

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools

  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret operational metrics and performance indicators

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and plant layout optimisation

  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software is preferred

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable
