The role emphasizes collaboration with project managers, architects and contractors, conducting feasibility studies, preparing specifications and performing structural modelling to validate designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional civil/structural design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, STAAD Pro or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop design plans and technical drawings for civil/structural projects.

HYOLIM INC is seeking a Project Design Engineer to join our Civil/Structural Engineering team on a contract basis. This position is based in Batino, Calamba City, Laguna and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of significant engineering projects. As a Project Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in translating conceptual ideas into detailed technical designs, ensuring all projects meet industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive design plans and technical drawings for civil and structural engineering projects using industry-standard software and tools
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to assess project requirements, constraints and opportunities
• Prepare detailed specifications, calculations and design documentation for construction projects
• Collaborate with project managers, architects and contractors to ensure design intent is effectively communicated and implemented
• Review and analyse project requirements, building codes, and regulatory compliance standards
• Perform structural analysis and modelling to validate design solutions and ensure structural integrity
• Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards
• Provide technical support during the construction phase and address design-related queries
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, modifications and project records

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in civil or structural design
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, STAAD Pro or similar structural analysis tools
• Solid understanding of structural principles, load calculations and design methodologies
• Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills with attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with sustainable and green building design principles is preferred
