Job summary

Cohu, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Materials/Inventory Specialist in Laguna to validate part availability for Sales Orders and to process material purchase requests tied to PRs and PO/TXO in MRP.

The role requires collaboration with Program Managers and Warehouse teams to ensure timely shipments and accurate work orders for OH parts and Slot-In or LLI items. Applicants should have a background in Business Administration, at least one year in Demand Planning or Inventory Management, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of Business Administration or equivalent professional courses.
• Minimum 1-year experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain or Inventory Management.
• Proficient with MS Office applications; knowledge in data analytics and statistics; knowledge in ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform material review to validate availability of parts required for Sales Orders.
• Process material purchase requests for Sales Orders and ensure PO/TXO alignment in MRP.
• Monitor purchase requests and WOs with planners and Program Managers for Sales order tracking.
• Coordinate shipment requests based on Schedule and Program Manager priority.
• Track OH parts status and secure shipment approvals with Order Management.
• Create/edit work orders for OH parts for re-inspection and Slot-In/LLI items.
• Release pick slips ensuring correct stock reservation for work orders.
• Coordinate pre-production activities for Slot-In or LLI parts with Warehouse support.
• Update Work Order items per Engineering Change Disposition ensuring correct parts, revision, and quantity.
• Any tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform material review to validate availability of the parts required for the Sales Order.
• Perform material Purchase Request required for the Sales Order
  • Validate that items are fully secured with PO/TXO on PR is completed in MRP
  • Ensure material request dates match the schedule/priority
  • For Slot-In or LLI, ensure material list is tally with the items identified by Program Manager
• Monitor the list of purchase requests and work orders with reference coordinated with respective planners and Program Managers for Sales order monitoring purposes.
• Perform request for shipment of parts based on shipment schedule and priority given by Program Manager.
• Monitor and update the status of OH parts and follow up with Order management team for approval of shipment.
• Create and edit work orders based on requirements for OH parts for re-inspection and make parts related with Slot-In or LLI request.
• Perform pick slips release for OH parts, ensuring correct reservation of the stock to the work orders.
• Perform & coordinate pre-production activities for all parts of Slot-in or LLI.
• Work closely with the Warehouse for OH parts; ensuring quality acceptance before shipment.
• Perform Work Order items update as instructed in the Engineering Change Disposition process; ensuring that the correct items, revision and quantity are being booked in work orders for OH parts, Slot-In or LLI.
• Any tasks that may be assigned to you from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Graduate of Business Administration courses or equivalent professional courses
• Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain or Inventory Management
• Skill/ Technical Requirements:
