Prime Global Corporation is seeking a Supply Planner to develop and execute inventory plans for a portfolio of items based on demand, orders, and network lead times. The role owns MRP, production quantities, toll manufacturing orders, and FG scheduling across production modes to optimize service and total supply chain cost.
The position drives finished goods availability while minimizing inventory holding, obsolescence, and waste.
The Supply Planner develops and executes the inventory plan for an assigned portfolio of items, based on demand, actual orders, network lead times, and available inventory. Working under limited supervision, the position is the accountable planning authority for both short-term and long-term end-to-end supply plans covering items produced internally and externally, and defines the appropriate inventory levels and the associated capacity required to optimize service, working capital, and total supply chain cost.
The position is a key driver of finished goods availability: it assures that adequate inventory is available to fulfil customer demand while minimizing inventory holding, waste, and supply chain cost. It owns the end-to-end planning signal — Material Requirements Planning (MRP), production order quantities, toll manufacturing orders, raw and packaging material (RM/PM) requirement generation, and finished goods (FG) scheduling, transfer, and replenishment — across all production modes.
Develop the inventory plan for the assigned portfolio using current demand inputs, actual customer orders, network lead times, and available inventory, and maintain a rolling projection of inventory position by SKU and by stocking location
Define and maintain the appropriate inventory level for each item — safety stock, cycle stock, and target coverage — and the associated capacity required to hold that plan, explicitly balancing customer service, working capital, and total supply chain cost
Develop both short-term (execution horizon) and long-term (planning horizon) end-to-end supply plans covering items produced internally and by external toll manufacturers
Assure finished goods availability to fulfil customer demand while minimizing inventory holding, obsolescence, waste, and supply chain cost
Determine which SKUs and volumes are assigned to toll manufacturing versus in-house production each planning cycle, based on internal capacity availability, cost differential, and service requirement
Generate, release, and monitor Toll Manufacturing Orders against agreed toll capacity, minimum run sizes, and lead times
Compute and release production order quantities using approved lot-sizing rules, batch integrity constraints, and inventory targets
Own and execute the MRP cycle end-to-end for all active SKUs in accordance with the MRP Governance Framework, including gate reviews, sign-offs, and archiving
Develop and maintain production plans and schedules aligned with the approved demand forecast and inventory targets, and publish and maintain the Master Production Schedule
Generate Purchase Requisitions for raw and packaging materials from validated MRP net requirements, with correct quantity, need date, and specification reference
Ability to construct, defend, and execute the plan independently, referring upward for ratification of parameters and for decisions reserved rather than for routine planning direction
Capacity to deputize for the Supply Chain Head on planning-related matters in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) or Monthly Operations Review (MOR) forum, in management reviews, and in cross-functional forums when designated
Competency in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) cycle execution and governance
Proficiency in capacity planning and assessment, including finite scheduling where sequencing, changeover, or shared-resource conflicts make infinite-capacity scheduling unreliable
Ability to lead stakeholder coordination and supply review with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Procurement to address supply shortages and agree mitigation strategies
Competency in planning analytics, reporting, and records management, including performance monitoring and controlled documentation
Capability to drive process and tool improvement using continuous improvement methodologies (DMAIC / PDCA / ECRS)
