TRANSCOSMOS ASIA PHILIPPINES, INC. seeks a Payroll Helpdesk professional in the Philippines to deliver timely payroll support and resolve timekeeping questions.
You will act as the first point of contact for employees, investigate concerns, and escalate complex cases when needed. The role requires 1–2 years’ experience in payroll or HR operations, familiarity with timekeeping systems, and strong communication with a focus on confidentiality.
Job Summary
The Payroll Helpdesk provides timely and accurate assistance to employees regarding payroll, timekeeping, attendance, and related compensation concerns. The role serves as the first point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, ensuring concerns are properly investigated, resolved, and escalated when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle and respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, salary, deductions, overtime, incentives, allowances, and other compensation concerns.
Provide support for timekeeping and attendance-related concerns, including missing punches, schedule discrepancies, undertime, tardiness, absences, and overtime.
Review and validate employee timekeeping records against payroll data to identify discrepancies.
Assist employees with OT, leave, attendance, and timekeeping filing and approval processes.
Coordinate with Operations, HR, Payroll, and other relevant teams to resolve payroll and timekeeping concerns.
Investigate payroll discrepancies and provide appropriate resolutions or escape complex cases to the Payroll Team.
Monitor and track employee concerns through the designated ticketing/helpdesk system and ensure timely closure.
Assist in payroll cut-off activities by validating attendance, overtime, leave, and other payroll inputs.
Ensure payroll-related concerns and employee information are handled with confidentiality and accuracy.
Maintain proper documentation and records of employee payroll and timekeeping inquiries.
Prepare basic reports and summaries related to payroll and attendance concerns.
Assist in testing and validating timekeeping/payroll system updates, enhancements, and automation.
Provide employees with clear guidance on payroll policies, procedures, and cut-off schedules.
Perform other payroll and HR-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
With 1–2 years of experience in payroll, timekeeping, HR operations, or employee helpdesk support, preferably in a BPO/shared services environment.
Hands-on experience with timekeeping and attendance systems.
Knowledge of payroll processes, overtime, leave, attendance, and statutory deductions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple employee concerns and meet payroll cut-off deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping systems is an advantage.
