Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Nashik is seeking a Project Accounting Lead to manage accounting, billing, collections and cost control for irrigation projects. You will partner with project managers to ensure strong governance and profitability across projects.

With 8–12 years in project finance or accounting, you will drive revenue recognition, forecasting and MIS reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and controls. A CA/CMA qualification is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in Project Finance, Project Accounting or Commercial Finance.
• Experience in irrigation, EPC, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or capital goods preferred.
• Strong exposure to project costing, billing, collections and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project profitability, costs, margins and cash flows.
• Track actuals against project budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure timely billing, revenue recognition and milestone tracking.
• Review project-wise receivables, retention money and collections.
• Analyse cost overruns and drive corrective actions.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting and financial reviews.
• Ensure compliance with project accounting policies and controls.

Reporting To: Head – Commercial Finance & Operations

Role Purpose:

Manage project accounting, billing, collections, cost control, and profitability tracking for irrigation projects. Partner with project managers and business teams to ensure strong financial governance, working capital management, and project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
