Job summary

World Class Laminate, Inc. is seeking a materials planner responsible for coordinating production scheduling, inventory control and procurement activities. The role emphasizes maintaining stock levels, planning material flow and ensuring timely delivery of components.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of material planning experience, with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Experience in manufacturing and lean principles is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in material planning, production planning and scheduling, and inventory management.
• Experience in modular cabinet/furniture/fit-out or construction product industries preferred.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule production runs based on orders, inventory, obsolescence, lead times and capacity.
• Provide production floor with job orders (JO).
• Ensure feasible commitment dates by monitoring on-ground reality.
• Plan and optimize deliveries of raw materials and finished goods.
• Coordinate with manufacturing on weekly output.
• Review monthly production performance reports.
• Maintain buffer levels for materials based on demand.
• Ensure stock levels (min-max) are monitored daily.
• Create weekly/monthly procurement plans and issue supplier orders.
• Ensure PO, DR and SI alignment.
• Provide operational analytics to department head.
• Monitor sales performance of each service.

Job description

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, Industrial Engineering, or any engineering courses.
• With at least 2 years of experience in material planning, production planning and scheduling, and inventory management.
• Preferably with experience in the manufacturing of modular cabinet, furniture or fit-out industries or construction products and services.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in planning software and tools.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scheduling of production run based on customer orders, inventory levels, obsolescence, lead times, installation timing and production capacity.
• In-charge of providing JO to Production floor.
• Ensure that the commitment date can be attained by monitoring actual situation on the ground.
• Reviews, recommends, and execute delivery plans of the required raw materials and finished goods.
• Reconciles and aligns with manufacturing group regarding weekly output.
• Reviews production planned performance report monthly.
• Reviews, recommends, and maintains buffer levels of raw materials and components based on given demand/requirements.
• Ensures periodic evaluation of inventory levels of raw materials, components depending on the demand movement and space requirement.
• Ensure stocks are within Stocking levels (min-max) by daily monitoring of stocks, weekly stocks evaluation.
• Makes procurement plan (as needed, weekly & monthly) and possess order to suppliers.
• Ensure PO's, DR and SI are all matched.
• Provide operational analytics to the department head.
• Create and update monitoring of sales performance of each service.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the immediate head.
