Job summary

KLT FRUITS, INC. is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.

You will coordinate with production, procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate plan execution. The role requires strong knowledge of production planning principles, ERP systems and advanced Excel, with a focus on minimizing waste and improving efficiency.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules aligned with sales forecasts, customer orders and inventory levels

• Coordinate with production, procurement and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing plans

• Monitor production performance against planned schedules and identify variances and bottlenecks

• Optimise resource allocation, including materials, labour and equipment, to maximise production efficiency

• Analyse demand patterns and adjust production plans accordingly to minimise waste and excess inventory

• Prepare regular production reports and metrics for management review and decision-making

• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling accuracy and operational efficiency

• Support the implementation of production control systems and maintain accurate production data

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Production Planner or in a similar production scheduling role within a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of production planning principles, demand forecasting and inventory management

• Proficiency with production planning software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across multiple departments

• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in production forecasting and reporting

• Relevant qualification in supply chain management, operations management or a related field is preferred

• Knowledge of fruit or food manufacturing processes would be advantageous
