MACHINE TECHNICIAN / PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands‑on and technically capable Machine Technician / Production Technician to support daily manufacturing operations. The role is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, identifying machine abnormalities, performing basic troubleshooting, and conducting routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activities.

The successful candidate should have good technical knowledge, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machines and equipment according to established operating procedures and safety standards.

• Conduct routine inspections of machines and equipment to ensure proper operating condition.

• Identify machine abnormalities, equipment issues, and production problems during operations.

• Perform basic troubleshooting to determine possible causes of machine or equipment problems.

• Carry out basic corrective actions and adjustments before escalating complex issues to the Maintenance Team.

• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication/oiling, and other basic maintenance activities.

• Assist with preventive maintenance activities to minimize machine downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

• Monitor machine performance and report recurring issues, defects, or abnormalities to the appropriate team.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and workplace safety protocols.

• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the work area and equipment are kept clean and organized.

• Assist in the proper handling, movement, and loading/unloading of raw materials, tools, and equipment when required.

• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and other relevant teams to address operational and equipment‑related concerns.

• Maintain accurate records or reports related to machine operation, inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment issues.

• Perform other production or machine‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Machine Operator, Operator Technician, Production Operator, Production Technician, or in a similar manufacturing/production role.

• At least a Technical/Vocational School graduate, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.

• Candidates with relevant technical certifications may also be considered.

• With basic knowledge of machine operation, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.

• Ability to identify machine abnormalities and investigate possible root causes.

• Able to perform basic troubleshooting and corrective actions before escalating issues to the Maintenance Team.

• Knowledge of routine inspection, cleaning, lubrication/oiling, equipment condition checking, and basic preventive maintenance.

• Physically capable and willing to perform hands‑on work, including moving or lifting raw materials, tools, or equipment as required by the role and applicable safety requirements.

• Willing to work on shifting schedules.
