Job summary

Job Summary

The Production Head is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. They oversee production teams, optimize workflows, maintain safety compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
• Manage and supervise production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics departments.
• Monitor production costs and implement cost-reduction strategies.
• Analyze production data and prepare performance reports.
• Ensure workplace health and safety compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Manage equipment utilization and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
• Resolve production issues, delays, and operational bottlenecks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in production, manufacturing, or operations management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of production planning and inventory management systems.Understanding of quality management and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Work experience gained from a bakery set up.
• Required working experience in a company certified under ISO, HACCP, Halal system.
• Working experience in a unionized company is an advantage.

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing plant, factory, warehouse, or production facility environment.
• May require shift work, overtime, and occasional weekend coverage.
• Frequent interaction with rank and file, production staff and management teams.
