Qualifications

SMC Integrated Farm Specialist Inc. is a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation established in 2018. SMC-IFSI is engaged in the management, operation, and maintenance of farms, hatcheries, slaughterhouses, fishpond, storage and various facilities and equipment for breeding, hatching, raising, growing, production, slaughter and / or processing of poultry. Fowls, hogs, livestock and other kinds of animals and foodstuffs and other activities allied or incidental thereto such as but not limited to animal feeds, nutrition and healthcare.

PRODUCTION ANALYST-BAAO CAMARINES SUR

The Production Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the incubation process to ensure optimal conditions for the hatching of poultry eggs. This role involves collecting and interpreting data, maintaining accurate records, and implementing improvements to enhance hatch rates and chick quality. The Incubation Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the success of the hatchery operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Animal Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Technology, Agribusiness Management, Statistics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in production analysis, reporting, inventory management, or operations support in a hatchery, poultry, manufacturing, or food production.
• Thorough understanding to hatchery operation, advanced Excel/reporting, manpower scheduling, data analysis, communication, stakeholder coordination, and decision-making. Strong integrity, dependable, decisive, highly organized, resilient, people-oriented, and results-driven environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Monitoring and Analysis:

• Oversee the incubation process, including temperature, humidity, ventilation, and egg turning.
• Collect and analyze data on egg fertility, hatchability, and chick quality.
• Identify trends and deviations from optimal incubation conditions.

2. Data Management:

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of incubation parameters and outcomes.
• Prepare reports on incubation performance and present findings to management.
• Utilize data to recommend adjustments and improvements in incubation practices.

  3. Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular inspections of incubation equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning.
  • Implement and monitor biosecurity measures to prevent contamination and disease.
  • Collaborate with hatchery staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting hatch rates.

  4. Research and Development:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in incubation technology and practices.
  • Participate in research projects aimed at improving incubation efficiency and outcomes.
  • Test and evaluate new incubation techniques and equipment.

  5. Training and Support:

  • Provide training and guidance to hatchery staff on incubation protocols and best practices.
  • Support hatchery management in developing and implementing incubation-related policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the incubation process.
