Job summary

SMC Integrated Farm Specialist Inc. in Pasig seeks an Industrial Engineer for the UGONG Pasig site to serve as Technical Trainer, analyzing training needs and developing competency-based programs to boost employee knowledge, skills and performance across operations.

The role covers training design and delivery, SOP alignment, equipment handling, safety and quality standards, and collaboration with Operations, QA, Engineering and HR-Training to drive process improvement and workforce capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering required.
• Fresh graduate or with experience in Food Manufacturing Industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Training Design & Development: Conduct technical skills analysis and identify training needs per role.
• Training Delivery & Facilitation: Facilitate classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training sessions; demonstrate procedures and safety.
• Skills Validation & Evaluation: Conduct on-site competency assessments and validate knowledge transfer; recommend retraining when needed.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain attendance, competency records, and certification files; prepare evaluation summaries and improvement recommendations.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with Operations, QA, Engineering and HR-Training for scheduling and content alignment; provide feedback on trainee readiness.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Technical Trainer is responsible for analyzing training needs, developing competency-based training programs, and delivering technical learning interventions to enhance employee knowledge, skills, and performance. The role ensures that employees are properly trained on operational processes, equipment handling, standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety requirements. Utilizing Industrial Engineering principles, the Technical Trainer supports process improvement, workforce capability development, and operational efficiency across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training Design & Development

• Conduct technical skills analysis and identify training needs per role.
• Develop modules, job aids, SOP-aligned materials, and practical skill guides.
• Customize training content based on plant processes, equipment, and safety standards.

Training Delivery & Facilitation

• Facilitate classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job technical training sessions.
• Demonstrate correct procedures, equipment operation, and standard techniques.
• Ensure trainees meet required competency levels and safety protocols.

Skills Validation & Evaluation

• Conduct on-site competency assessments and validation checks.
• Use evaluation tools to measure knowledge transfer and skill application.
• Recommend additional coaching or retraining when needed.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain attendance, competency records, and certification files.
• Prepare training reports, evaluation summaries, and improvement recommendations.
• Ensure training data is aligned with TQP, DA, or other HR-Training requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with Operations, QA, Engineering, and HR-Training for scheduling and content alignment.
• Provide feedback to supervisors on trainee performance and readiness for deployment.
• Participate in audits, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
