JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic duties:
- a. Provides short term and long term strategic direction for product profile management and development, advertising & promotions and product training for the sales force.
- b. Develops brand plan of assigned products and monitors the implementation of the advertising, promotion and aids activities according to approved brand plans.
- c. Prepare product forecasts through participation in the demand plan, constantly monitor inventory and closely coordinates with regulatory & logistics departments to ensure supply timelines.
- d. Allocate resources and schedule marketing and advertising activities according to the importance of each products/service in the organization’s overall marketing strategy of the product line.
- e. Monitor, analyze and evaluate market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the brands being handled.
2. Training duties:
- a. Provide classroom product training, as well as field training and coaching to the sale force for the assigned products;
- b. Responsible in providing sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the products. This involves printed and electronic promotional material and relevant clinical and research papers.
- c. Responsible for reviewing product data to ensure that the field force is kept up to date on new developments both regarding the company and competitors’ products.
- d. Acts as point of reference for all product related inquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues to address any issues that may arise.
3. Marketing, advertising & promotion duties
- a. Perform activities to effectively market assigned brands such as conducting market research; overseeing product positioning, development and design; setting prices; launching new products; overseeing advertising campaigns; and monitoring product sales performance.
- b. Hands on and/or liaise with advertising and promotions agencies (if needed) to design sales campaigns and sales collateral for the products that are consistent, effective and appropriate for the target audience.
- c. Close liaison with the sales force to assess the response to and sustainability of current promotional materials and to ensure that the promotional material and promotion activities are used for the optimal results.
- d. Develops KOL for the assigned brands and maintains good relationship through consistent coordination.
4. Performs other tasks that maybe assigned by the Immediate Superior from time to time.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Graduate of any 4 years Marketing, Business or equivalent related courses.
2. At least 5 years of work experience in pharmaceutical industry (sales and marketing) handling Ethical promotions (Gastro, Neuro and Pain franchise is an advantage).
3. Can work with minimal supervision and willing to travel at least 50% of the time.
