Job summary

BDO Unibank in Metro Manila seeks a Product Development Officer (Operational Risk) to assess risks and monitor controls across Treasury processes, ensuring compliance with data privacy and AML standards and maintaining business continuity. The role emphasizes risk assessment, tool implementation, and regulatory adherence.

You will coordinate RCSA, KRI, and data privacy initiatives, and act as a liaison with the Data Protection Officer to ensure secure and compliant operations within the treasury

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking or Finance; Business Management or related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Treasury or a bank/financial institution.
• Treasury Certification Program (TCP) certified is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement operational risk management tools and initiatives (RCSA, KRI, loss data collection and reporting) within the business / support unit.
• Ensure accurate and complete submission of RCSA and KRI documents within deadlines.
• Coordinate implementation of BCP tools and initiatives (BCP, write-up plan, test scripts, test reports) within the unit.
• Coordinate data privacy management tools (PIA, PIA gaps monitoring, contract inventory) and liaise with the DPO on data privacy/security matters.

The Product Development Officer (Operational Risk) is responsible for assessing operational risks and monitoring the effectiveness of controls within various Treasury core business processes, in compliance with regulations, Bank policies, and standards. This includes adherence to data privacy (DP) regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) standards, and conducting periodic assessments. Furthermore, responsible for making sure effective alternative procedures are developed and carried out promptly to maintain business continuity and reduce the effects of possible disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as point person for the implementation of operational risk management tools and initiatives (e.g., RCSA, KRI, loss data collection and reporting) within the business / support unit
• Ensure accurate and complete submission of RCSA and KRI documents within communicated deadlines
• Acts as point person for the implementation of BCP tools and initiatives (e.g., BIA, Write-up plan, test script, test reports) within the business / support unit
• Acts as point person for the implementation of data privacy management tools and initiatives (e.g., Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), PIA Gaps Monitoring, Contract Inventory) within the business / support unit. Also serves as the contact person of the business / support unit vis-à-vis data subjects and the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in all matters concerning data privacy or security issues or concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking or Finance of Business Management; Industrial or Management Engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferably in Treasury and/or gained from a bank or other financial institution
• Treasury Certification Program (TCP) certified is an advantage
