wattgen, an AI consulting and engineering firm, seeks a senior UX designer to shape how AI apps look and work. You will prototype quickly with AI tools, build per-client design systems, and take designs from concept to production alongside engineers.

Lead design workstreams, structure ambiguous problems, and ensure quality and timely delivery in a fast-moving, client-facing environment. English communication and strong portfolio are essential.

Formación

• 5+ years designing digital products at scale, including client-facing work.
• A compelling portfolio showing interaction design, visual craft, and shipped production work.
• Structured thinking with ability to break ambiguous problems into clear design solutions.
• Strong command of design systems and atomic design principles across products.
• Advanced Figma proficiency: design systems, auto layout, variables, prototyping, and developer collaboration.

Role Overview

In this role, you'll design how each client's AI applications look and work - prototyping fast with AI-augmented tools, building per-client design systems, and taking designs from concept to production alongside the engineers who build them.You will take ownership of workstreams and work with minimal supervision. You will be a structured thinker - breaking ambiguous problems down cleanly and avoiding wasted effort - and will be accountable for the quality of the work and the timelines it ships on.

Responsibilities

• Design AI applications for complex enterprise ecosystems, from the ground up or into existing systems.
• Rapidly create interactive prototypes using AI-augmented tools like Claude Design to demonstrate and test interactions.
• Convert prototypes into production-ready, high-fidelity designs.
• Apply systems thinking to design, using atomic design principles to build interfaces from reusable components into coherent, scalable systems.
• Structure ambiguous business problems into user flows, interaction models, and clean UI systems.
• Establish and evolve a design system for each client - its components, patterns, and standards - to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across their products.d efficiency across their products.

• Participate and contribute to client meetings, presentations, and workshops, owning the design discipline within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• 5+ years designing digital products at scale, including client-facing work.
• A compelling portfolio showing strong interaction design, high visual craft, structured problem framing, and shipped production work.
• Structured thinking, able to break ambiguous problems into clear, logical design solutions.
• Strong command of design systems and atomic design principles, and how to scale them across products.
• Advanced Figma proficiency - design systems, auto layout, variables, prototyping, and developer collaboration workflows.
• Advanced experience with AI-native research, design, and collaboration tools - Claude Design, ChatGPT, Lovable, Figma AI.
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, client-facing consulting environments and delivering to tight timescales.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English, able to present design decisions and trade-offs to clients and stakeholders, and produce clear, client-ready documentation.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing enterprise, B2B, or complex transactional systems.
• Familiarity with working in a codebase using AI-assisted tools.
• Familiarity with developer-facing or data-heavy products (dashboards, tools, observability).
