wattgen is an AI consulting and engineering firm that helps organizations find where AI can make a real difference, then builds the systems that deliver it. We pair rigorous problem-solving with engineering that holds up in the real world.
Role Overview
In this role, you'll go into client organizations to map how their processes run today, find where data, automation and GenAI can unlock real gains, and design AI-native future-state processes. You'll specify what gets built and work alongside designers and developers to take those specifications through to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Interview client process owners to develop accurate, end-to-end maps of how work runs today.
- Identify bottlenecks, hand-offs, root causes and inefficiencies, and quantify their impact on process performance.
- Pinpoint where data, automation and GenAI can remove effort, reduce error or speed up throughput.
- Define how the future-state process should run, AI-native by design.
- Apply Six Sigma discipline to control error and variability across multi-step AI-native processes.
- Quantify the efficiency, cost and quality gains expected from deploying automation and GenAI.
- Draft process maps, client reports and supporting documentation to a consistent standard.
- Create detailed specifications the development team can build AI-augmented software from.
- Collaborate with product designers, client process owners and development teams to turn specifications into UI proof-of-concepts and production releases.
- Contribute to repeatable methods, standards and best practices for process redesign.
Requirements
- 5+ years of process transformation experience, gained largely in a consulting environment.
- Experience working across operating model, process re-engineering and RPA/automation change initiatives.
- Hands-on experience identifying and specifying automation and GenAI use cases within process redesign, and seeing them through to delivery.
- Strong process mapping, analysis and future-state design skills, fluent in process notation and tooling (BPMN, Visio, Mermaid, Six Sigma principles and RPA) and confident in MS Office.
- Structured problem-solving from first principles and continuous-improvement mindset.
- Strong report-writing skills, structuring analysis, findings and recommendations into concise, client-ready documentation.
- Strong communication, workshop facilitation and senior-stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex problems into clear, actionable recommendations and flex between technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AI-augmented tools like Claude Code, Codex.
- Exposure to SAP, process modeling platforms (e.g. SAP Signavio) and process mining / intelligence tools (e.g. Celonis).
