Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement operations and ensure policy compliance from requisition to receipt of goods or services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers.
• Evaluate potential vendors.
• Manage contracts to secure favorable terms, pricing and delivery schedules.
• Review vendor Open Order Reports weekly.
• Implement sourcing and procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Develop, implement and maintain procurement policies and management systems including ERP or other procurement software.
• Lead, schedule and allocate work for the procurement team and provide training and ensure effective collaboration across departments.
• Ensure required certifications, drills, toolbox meetings, and refresher training are completed and promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and security awareness.
• Present cost/benefit analyses to management to ensure buy-in from multiple stakeholder disciplines.

About the role

The Procurement Supervisor oversees procurement operations, manages supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost effective and timely acquisition of goods and services. The position plays a critical role in ensuring that an organization acquire goods and services efficiently, cost-effectively and in alignment with operational needs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and compliance with internal and external standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement operations and ensure compliance with organizational policies from requisition to receipt of goods or services and monitor performance against department KPIs

About you
