• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Processing and managing importation documentation, including customs clearance and import permits.
• Coordinating with international suppliers and freight forwarders for timely delivery.
• Monitoring import shipments and tracking delivery status from origin to final destination.
• Preparing and reviewing purchase orders for imported items, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating terms for importation services and material costs.
• Verifying quality and quantity of received goods against purchase orders and specifications.
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation of importation transactions and inventory levels.
• Liaising with customs brokers, shipping companies, and warehouse staff to resolve importation issues and delays.
• Ensuring compliance with import regulations, tariffs, and international trade requirements.
• Supporting cost reduction initiatives by identifying procurement efficiency opportunities.

What we're looking for

• Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, and international trade documentation
• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with international suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing documentation and data entry
• Problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and challenges
• Knowledge of freight forwarding, logistics, or warehouse operations is advantageous
• Certification in procurement or customs clearance is a plus
