Job summary

This full-time role manages importation processes, coordinates with international suppliers, and ensures timely procurement of materials supporting manufacturing and logistics. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in procurement or importation, strong knowledge of customs procedures, and proficiency with procurement systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational qualification in procurement, logistics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in procurement, importation, or inventory management in manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, and international trade documentation.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Processing and managing importation documentation, including customs clearance and import permits.
• Coordinating with international suppliers and freight forwarders for timely delivery.
• Monitoring import shipments and tracking delivery status from origin to final destination.
• Preparing and reviewing purchase orders for imported items, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating terms for importation services and material costs.
• Verifying quality and quantity of received goods against purchase orders and specifications.
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation of importation transactions and inventory levels.
• Liaising with customs brokers, shipping companies, and warehouse staff to resolve importation issues and delays.
• Ensuring compliance with import regulations, tariffs, and international trade requirements.
• Supporting cost reduction initiatives by identifying procurement efficiency opportunities.
