Job summary

Peotraco Food Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering supervisor to oversee maintenance on processing lines and drive equipment upgrades. You will collaborate with maintenance, production, and QA teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure safety compliance in a fast-paced plant.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance planning, technical reporting, and participation in continuous improvement, with overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role are required.
• Experience in manufacturing processes, production systems, and equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SketchUp is preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support optimization and maintenance of processing lines including screw conveyors, form fill seal machines, and vibratory separators.
• Plan and execute equipment upgrades ensuring compatibility with existing operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and QA to troubleshoot issues affecting efficiency and quality.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical reports and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and procure spare parts as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of production machines and address unplanned breakdowns.

Job Description

• Support the on-going optimization and maintenance of our processing lines, which include but not limited to screw conveyors, vertical form fill seal machines, and vibratory separators.

• Participate in the planning and execution of equipment upgrades for our processing lines, ensuring compatibility with existing manual and/or semi-automatic operations.

• Collaborate with the maintenance team, production department, and quality assurance department to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues impacting production efficiency and product quality.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all mechanical equipment.

• Prepare technical reports, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manage and participate in the procurement of spare parts and equipment as needed.

• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

• Collaborate with the maintenance team in the routine inspection of production machines.

• Collaborate with the maintenance team in dealing with unplanned breakdown and repairs.

• Participate in job orientation of newly hired production workers to ensure they follow and understand the work instruction in compliance with food safety.

• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering course.

• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.

• With experience in manufacturing processes, production systems, and equipment maintenance.

• Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in AutoCaD or SketchUp (preferred).

• Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.

• This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and may involve occasional overtime work.
