Peotraco Food Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering supervisor to oversee maintenance on processing lines and drive equipment upgrades. You will collaborate with maintenance, production, and QA teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure safety compliance in a fast-paced plant.
The role emphasizes preventive maintenance planning, technical reporting, and participation in continuous improvement, with overtime as needed to meet production demands.
Support the on-going optimization and maintenance of our processing lines, which include but not limited to screw conveyors, vertical form fill seal machines, and vibratory separators.
Participate in the planning and execution of equipment upgrades for our processing lines, ensuring compatibility with existing manual and/or semi-automatic operations.
Collaborate with the maintenance team, production department, and quality assurance department to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues impacting production efficiency and product quality.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all mechanical equipment.
Prepare technical reports, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage and participate in the procurement of spare parts and equipment as needed.
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Collaborate with the maintenance team in the routine inspection of production machines.
Collaborate with the maintenance team in dealing with unplanned breakdown and repairs.
Participate in job orientation of newly hired production workers to ensure they follow and understand the work instruction in compliance with food safety.
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering course.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
With experience in manufacturing processes, production systems, and equipment maintenance.
Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in AutoCaD or SketchUp (preferred).
Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and may involve occasional overtime work.
