Job summary

Zachry Philippines, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer to support design efforts across chemicals, petrochemicals, LNG, and refining sectors.

Responsibilities include preparing P&IDs, PFDs, and heat/mass balances, and performing process simulations and equipment sizing. Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise within the department to support design efforts on a variety of projects in the chemicals, petrochemicals, LNG, and petroleum refining industries.

• Prepares and coordinates the development of all process deliverables, including P&IDs, PFDs, and Heat & Material Balances.

• Performs process simulation, equipment design, and development, process calculations for equipment and instrumentation data sheets, preparation of specifications, relief device sizing and specification, hydraulic evaluation, and conduct of feasibility studies, among others.

• Responsible for the quality of the deliverables and generating deliverables per the project standards.

• Check the works of others for conformance with project documentation, and client standards, and can check vendor drawings.

• Interfaces with client representatives, and ensure compliance with inputs and other requirements.

• Provide guidance or assistance to other process engineers.

Job Requirements

• Has at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience (ideally in one or more Oil & Gas, LNG, Petroleum Refining, Petrochemicals, and Chemicals).

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, preferably licensed.

• Overall understanding of technical disciplines and project execution.

• Relevant experience in design basis preparation, process simulation, and PFD, HMB, and P&ID development.

• Wide experience in system hydraulic evaluation, relief system evaluation, PSV sizing, equipment sizing, datasheet specification, and bid evaluation.

• Knowledge of MS Office suite and technical computer software like Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Pro II, AFT Fathom, and AFT Arrow.

• Knowledge of international codes and standards.

• Preferably has taken on a Lead Process Engineer role for a project

• Requires research skills, analytical and creative problem-solving skills, questioning and feedback skills, and commitment to quality, responsibility, high work standards, and initiatives.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, as well as strong interpersonal skills and relationship building.

• Ability to independently organize and prioritize work assignments and coordinate a variety of tasks, with good attention to detail and the ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
