Job summary

Zachry Philippines, Inc. in Manila is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and project coordination for industrial facility projects.

You will specify vessels, pumps, exchangers, rotating equipment, and other process equipment while reviewing vendor documents and preparing datasheets. The role requires ASME Code knowledge, international codes, and willingness to travel to site field assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Passed the Board Licensure Examination.
• Experience in Mechanical Engineering and design of process equipment, pumps, rotating equipment, vessels, and stress analysis including mechanical conveyance and feeding equipment is preferred, but not required.
• Has 10 years of experience working as an engineer in the Industrial Engineering Services Industry, EPC firms, or Production environment.
• Experience in Materials Engineering is an advantage.
• Experienced in Data Sheet & RFQ Preparation and Technical Bid Evaluation.
• Work background in: Energy and Chemicals, Power, Food and Beverage, Pharma and Biotech, Manufacturing.
• ASME Code knowledge for pressure vessels and piping systems is required.
• Knowledge of International Codes & Standards.
• Background in heat exchangers, rotating equipment, and materials.
• Strong communication skills required to provide effective inter-discipline coordination on projects, and project department communication.
• Must be available for field assignments involving travel to sites that involve work in industrial facilities.
• Strong attention to detail and capability of performing detailed technical documents and drawing checking.
• Vendor document review, detailed assessment of vendor design accuracy, and specification compliance.
• Proficient in AutoCad, MS Office, and other engineering software.
• Team player and strong leadership skills.
• Can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to drive mechanical technical design and project coordination.
• Attend Client and Internal Team meetings.
• Specify vessels, pumps, exchangers, rotating equipment, and other process equipment.
• Review vendor documents for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare equipment datasheets and full mechanical equipment and system specifications.
• Perform technical and economic evaluations, bid tabulations, and prepare recommendations.
• Manage Project Schedules and Budgets and provide weekly reports on status, issues, and needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
