• Establishes strategic and opportunistic benefits derived from innovations and new technologies
• Evaluates and provides Management the appropriate recommendation on innovations and new technologies in dairy, confectionary, fats and oils and general food technology
• Scales up a process from laboratory to production scale
• Works with the product development team to formulate a manufacturing process for the new product
• Develops and design manufacturing processes for the enhancement, new products and product changes
• Implements the transition of new technology to make sure production continues successfully
• Prepares and submits monthly status reports of on-going projects

Job description

• Responsible for identifying and assessing innovations in processes
• Recommends to Management appropriate process conditions for new and improved products
• Provides technical advice (by conduct of basic research, trouble shooting, operations audit, evaluation of new technologies) in dairy, fats and oils and general food technology
• Develops and improves the manufacturing processes for increase efficiency

Process Innovations

• Identifies innovations and new techniques applicable to the Business
• Establishes strategic and opportunistic benefits derived from innovations and new technologies
• Evaluates and provides Management the appropriate recommendation on innovations and new technologies in dairy, confectionary, fats and oils and general food technology

Process Development/Improvement

• Scales up a process from laboratory to production scale
• Works with the product development team to formulate a manufacturing process for the new product
• Works with equipment design and manufacturing team to develop a cost-effective and working production process of the new product
• Sets detailed specifications and implement production plans
• Continuous conduct of test on systems for efficiency and accuracy until a quality and cost-effective production process is implemented successfully
• Oversees process design projects and ensures projects are completed on time
• Ensures that financial budget is followed throughout the manufacturing process
• Improves the current manufacturing or production processes to boost productivity, quality and profitability for the Company
• Evaluates, develops, improves and documents the manufacturing process
• Implements and develops process control procedures and techniques into the manufacturing environment
• Research and purchases new manufacturing technology, work in collaboration with the engineering department for better production equipment functionality
• Develops and design manufacturing processes for the enhancement, new products an product changes and relaxed tooling and fixtures which are consistent with the low product cost and zero defect level
• Develops, implements and coordinates technical training for employees by working closely with the manufacturing Department
• Coordinates work with , assigned maintenance engineers, toll coordinators and outside vendors
• Implements the transition of new technology to make sure production continues successfully

Technical Support

• Reviews literatures/publications for basic research
• Identifies and provides recommendations to correct product quality or operational issues
• Evaluates impact of new technologies/developments in equipment, materials and designs
• Provides comparative performance data for use in planning and decision-making
• Responds to customers requests; assist in resolving customer queries and problems

Documentation and Reportorial Requirement

• Prepares and submits to superiors /management monthly status report of on-going projects
