Job summary

MG REPROGRAPHICS SUPPLY & SERVICES INC is seeking a meticulous Cost Estimator to partner with Sales, Production, and Client teams. You will develop accurate cost estimates for printing projects, ensuring profitability and adherence to budgets.

Responsibilities include analyzing specifications, gathering data on materials and processes, preparing detailed cost breakdowns, monitoring changes, and presenting proposals to clients and management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics or Engineering
• Experience as Cost Estimator or in a similar role, preferably within the printing industry
• Strong knowledge of printing processes, materials, and finishing techniques
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in estimating software and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Analyze client specifications and project requirements to prepare accurate print cost estimates
• Gather and analyze data related to materials, printing processes, finishing requirements, and equipment usage
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns covering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs
• Monitor ongoing projects and update estimates based on changes in specifications, materials, or unforeseen costs
• Prepare and present cost proposals and estimates to clients and management
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotations, and project documentation
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and procedures
