The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and strong collaboration with project managers, suppliers, and designers to gather pricing and ensure cost precision across materials, labour, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in cost estimation or commitment to further professional development in estimation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
• Analyse project plans and technical documents to determine cost factors and requirements.
• Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and suppliers to gather pricing information and ensure cost accuracy.
• Conduct preliminary take-offs and measurements from drawings, providing initial estimates for review.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates and historical data to support future project estimations.
