Job summary

DATEM INC. is seeking an experienced Precast Manager to lead and oversee all operations within our precast yard. The role is full-time and based in Cavite City, Cavite, Philippines, with responsibility for production efficiency, quality standards, budgeting and team leadership.

You will manage daily operations, production schedules, and staff development while ensuring compliance with HSE protocols and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in precast concrete manufacturing or related construction production environments.
• Prior supervisory or management experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Strong knowledge of precast systems, structural design, plant operations, material behavior, and connection design.

DATEM INC. is seeking an experienced Precast Manager to lead and oversee all operations within our precast yard. It is a full-time position based in Cavite City, Cavite. As Precast Department Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, managing budgets, and leading a team of skilled professionals. This role is strategically important to our organization as it directly impacts our capacity to deliver high-quality precast concrete products to our clients whilst maintaining operational excellence and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the precast department, ensuring all activities comply with company standards and safety regulations
• Manage production schedules and ensure timely delivery of precast products to meet client deadlines
• Monitor product quality at all stages of production and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Supervise and train precast department staff, including operators, technicians and laborers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, tracking costs and identifying opportunities for cost optimization
• Maintain and coordinate equipment maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend asset life
• Liaise with procurement and other departments to coordinate material supplies and project requirements
• Implement and enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) protocols across the department
• Prepare regular reports on production metrics, efficiency indicators and departmental performance
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity

What we're looking for

• Minimum 10 years of experience in precast concrete manufacturing or related construction production environments
• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or construction setting
• Strong knowledge of precast concrete systems, structural design, plant operations, material behavior, and connection design.
• Demonstrated proficiency in production planning, scheduling and resource management
• Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to manufacturing operations
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
• Proficiency in using production management software and basic computer literacy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, ETABS, Tekla Structures, and MS Office.
• Experience with BIM, ERP systems, and production tracking tools is an advantage.
• Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field are advantageous
• Certification in ISO standards, lean manufacturing or project management would be beneficial
