XPENG is seeking a detail-oriented PDI Technician to inspect, prepare, and deliver vehicles in excellent condition. You will perform comprehensive pre-delivery inspections, document defects, complete vehicle preparation, and ensure all EV systems meet XPENG standards before release to customers.
The role requires an automotive-related diploma or certification and 1–2 years in automotive inspection or servicing, with hands-on EV experience preferred. Weekend work may be required.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician to ensure that all XPENG vehicles are inspected, prepared, and delivered to customers in excellent condition. The role will be responsible for conducting comprehensive pre-delivery inspections, identifying and documenting any defects or issues, completing required vehicle preparation, and ensuring that vehicles meet XPENG's quality and delivery standards before they are released to customers.
Conducts comprehensive PDI checks on newly delivered vehicles prior to customer release
Inspects vehicle systems, components, exterior, interior, electrical systems, and safety features
Checks vehicle condition for defects, damage, abnormalities, or missing items
Performs diagnostic checks using appropriate tools and equipment
Verifies vehicle functions and ensures all systems are operating properly
Inspects key EV systems and components, including high-voltage battery systems, electric motor systems, charging systems, regenerative braking, and vehicle electronics
Performs appropriate diagnostic and system checks using approved tools and procedures
Verifies vehicle charging functionality and other EV-specific features
Follows proper safety procedures when working around high-voltage EV systems
Performs required vehicle preparation and adjustments before delivery
Automotive-related diploma, certification, or technical education
At least 1–2 years of experience in automotive inspection, vehicle preparation, or automotive servicing
Hands‑on experience with electric vehicles (EVs) is strongly preferred
Knowledge of EV systems, including high‑voltage battery systems, electric motors, charging systems, regenerative braking, and vehicle electronics
Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment
Ability to perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues
Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle quality and safety
Experience as a PDI Technician, EV Technician, Automotive Technician, or Service Technician is preferred
Willingness to undergo XPENG product and technical training
Willing to work in a dealership/service center environment, including weekends and holidays as required
