Job summary

Google is seeking a Government Affairs and Public Policy Manager in the Philippines to shape policy on AI, technology and Internet issues. The role requires strong communication, analytic skills and experience interfacing with government and industry groups.

You will lead strategies that align with Google's mission, coordinate with global colleagues, and advocate for open internet principles while addressing regulatory and compliance challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in technology or related policy.

Responsibilities

• Represent Google externally in policy-making and with the Government in the Philippines.
• Develop and execute government affairs and public policy strategies in the Philippines that align with Google's mission, objectives and principles.
• Engage on a wide range of public policy issues around the Internet and AI, including AI governance, online safety, digital economy, content regulation, and competition.
• Work with trade associations, industry partners, non-profit groups, academics and others to support policies and programs that support an open internet and a bold and responsible approach to AI.
• Ensure timely internal communications and information flow locally and with global colleagues, providing counsel to cross-functional teams and leadership.
