Job summary

Google is seeking a senior member of its Government Affairs and Public Policy team in the Philippines. You will advocate for Google to inform our direction by bringing external perspectives in-house and shaping policy across regions, products, and functions.

You’ll collaborate with diverse partners to address AI governance, online safety, digital economy, and competition issues, ensuring alignment with Google's mission and principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in technology or related policy.

Responsibilities

• Represent Google externally in policy-making and with the Government in the Philippines.
• Develop and execute government affairs and public policy strategies in the Philippines that align with Google's mission, objectives and principles.
• Engage on policy issues around the Internet/AI, including AI governance, online safety, digital economy, content regulation, and competition.
• Work with trade associations, industry partners, non-profits, academics and others to support policies for an open internet and responsible AI.
• Provide counsel to cross-functional teams and leadership with timely internal communications.

As a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you'll be part of a Global Government Affairs team, working across regions, product areas, and functions. You’ll combine creativity and intellectual excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects and initiatives. In this role, you’ll advocate for Google to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction.
