Converge ICT Solutions Inc. seeks a PMO Group Head to standardize practices and govern complex programs across Network Technology. You will drive portfolio prioritization, resource planning, and executive reporting while ensuring delivery excellence and risk mitigation.
You will lead a team of project managers, advance PMO capabilities, and promote digital tools and automation to optimize performance across multiple initiatives.
The PMO Group Head is responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously improving the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure effective governance, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives across the Network Technology Group. This role drives standardization of project management practices, ensures alignment with business objectives, and enhances overall project delivery performance.
Oversees the end-to-end project lifecycle, including project intake, prioritization, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, while ensuring optimal resource allocation and effective risk, issue, and dependency management across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Projects across Network Technology (Network Operations, Cloud & International Infrastructure)
Strategic programs including infrastructure expansion, transformation, and optimization initiatives
Project governance, reporting, and portfolio management
Resource planning and cross-functional coordination
Stakeholder management including executive leadership
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Project Management, or a related discipline is an advantage
Certifications (Preferred)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification.
Agile / Scrum certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP) are an advantage.
ITIL certification or equivalent for service management processes is desirable.
Other relevant technology, network, or telecommunications certifications are a plus.
Experience
5+ years of experience in project/program management
At least 5 years in a leadership or PMO management role
Proven experience managing large-scale telecom, network, or IT transformation projects
Strong background in stakeholder and executive management
Technical Competencies
Strong understanding of telecom network domains (is an advantage):
Access (MPLS, OLT, LCP)
Core (IP, Core)
Transport (DWDM)
Proficiency in project and portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Office, Jira)
Strong analytical skills in network performance, capacity, and resiliency planning
PMO Leadership & Strategy
Establish and implement PMO frameworks, methodologies, and governance standards
Define project management policies, tools, and best practices
Portfolio & Program Management
Oversee the full project portfolio to ensure alignment with organizational priorities
Drive prioritization, resource allocation, and dependency management
Governance & Reporting
Ensure consistent project tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring
Provide executive-level insights on project status, risks, and KPIs
Delivery Oversight
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and bottlenecks across programs
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary interface between project teams and senior leadership
Facilitate decision-making and escalation management
Process Improvement & Transformation
Continuously improve PMO processes, tools, and capabilities
Drive adoption of digital tools and automation in project tracking and reporting
People & Resource Management
Lead and develop Project Managers and PMO staff
Ensure optimal resource utilization and capability development
