Job summary

Ascendion in Metro Manila is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright to design, build, and maintain automated test solutions for web applications. You will perform functional, regression, API, and end-to-end testing, collaborating closely with development, product, and DevOps teams.

You will also help integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, develop robust test frameworks, and continually improve coverage and quality.

• Experience designing and maintaining automated test scripts with Playwright.
• Proven experience in functional, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong collaboration with development, product and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and reusable test components.
• Perform UI and API testing to validate application functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Analyze test results and prepare test execution reports.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and quality processes.
