Job summary

Manila Recruitment is seeking a DevOps & Platform Operations Engineer in the Philippines to own hands-on platform reliability, deployment, monitoring, and incident response. You will manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, security, backups and disaster recovery, and work closely with product teams to keep services running smoothly.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps/Platform Operations, strong Azure experience, Linux server management, and scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell).

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Operations, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure including infrastructure, monitoring, networking, security, and production deployments.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, access controls, and identity management.
• Experience managing Linux servers, web applications, and production environments.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and application deployments.
• Knowledge of DNS, SSL/TLS, SQL databases, backups, REST APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Understanding of infrastructure and application security.
• Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical and hands-on approach.
• Comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and communicating technical issues in plain English.
• Comfortable using AI tools as part of everyday work.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, creativity, and genuine passion for the role and the work.

Responsibilities

• Cloud & Server Management: Manage production and staging infra, cloud servers, databases, DNS, SSL, storage, and scaling.
• Deployment & Release Management: Deploy code to staging/production and maintain CI/CD pipelines with rollback.
• Monitoring & Uptime: Implement monitoring/alerts for availability, performance, and errors.
• Incident Response: Act as first technical contact, diagnose, restore services, and document root cause.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Ensure automated backups, tested recovery, and DR procedures.
• Security: Enforce access control, MFA, secrets management, encryption, and vulnerability monitoring.
