Job summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on molding machines and equipment.

Job description

• Set up and operate plastic injection molding machines for production.

• Install and remove molds, ensuring proper alignment and secure installation.

• Set and adjust machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, injection speed, holding pressure, cooling time, and cycle time.

• Monitor the injection molding process and make adjustments to maintain consistent product quality.

• Troubleshoot molding defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, burns, and dimensional issues.

• Perform mold changeovers and prepare necessary auxiliary and peripheral equipment.

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.

• Identify and report machine, mold, and process abnormalities.

• Perform basic repairs and coordinate with maintenance personnel for major mechanical or electrical problems.

• Monitor production output, cycle times, scrap rates, and process parameters.

• Complete production, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting reports accurately.

• Follow established safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Work closely with production, quality control, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues.

• Assist with process improvement and reduction of downtime and material waste.
